Allegory's Attic- Mesh Frames

I'm releasing another full perm kit- most things I keep for my own use, but occasionally there are things that I think might be useful to others, that I'm not so attached to I can't bear to part with. This is another set of frames, this time mesh. Each frame is one object, including a shadow, the artwork (or whatever!) in the frame, and the back piece...yeah, I have no idea what to call these things. You know, the back of the painting or the like.

They come in 4 aspect ratios, square, 3:4, 2:3, and 1:2. They degrade gracefully in non mesh viewers to boxes, with the front on the front and the back in the back (the aspect ratio is a little off, and they will be larger boxes than they appear in a mesh viewer, because they will include the size of the shadow). The front, back, shadow, and frame itself are all different textures, so you don't have to do anything special with what you're putting in the frame. They come with the shadow already applied (being mesh, you will get the actual objects, not things to apply to objects like sculpts!), and a shade map you can export for making your own frame textures.

They are one land impact prim at the size included- in fact, link two of those together and they will become only one prim in land impact (Land Impact is kind of an awkward way to refer to it, don't you think?). You can stretch them quite large before a single frame becomes more than one land impact prim, larger than a standard SL avatar (not that giant baby though. I think they'll be two land impact prims at giant baby size, at least! But, giant baby was bigger than most houses, so...)

Like the other builder kits, the frames are only available on the Marketplace. You can see them in person at the elephant though- I've started putting some of my vendors in them (so far, the DeVeres are in them, the chandelier, and random things in the basement and Baba Yaga's house). I'm nesting again.

Rustic Chandelier Quartet

The full version of the chandelier previewed for the last Fifty Linden Friday is out. It has 9 colours of candles possible, and comes with a selection of lighting choices, in always on and touch to turn on and off versions (as well as always extinguished, and without candles entirely). The versions with particles are a little primmier by nature, but the particles only add a little to the flames, and are not required for them. There are also versions with projector lights- which will only show off their advantages if you have shadows turned on in your preferences, with projectors enabled- that allow the candles to cast shadows.

The chain and ceiling hook are a separate object, so the chandelier can be suspended by a different method. It also has separate texture faces, so by making sections transparent, you can shorten it, or add another piece to make it longer.

Pearl DeVere

There is an event running January 1-8, Etheria, with jewelry designers who chose a clothing designer to work with them. I am honoured to be Lolapop!'s choice, and we chose to interpret the Painted Lady theme as a rather successful lady.

I drew my inspiration in particular from Pearl de Vere, the soiled dove of Cripple Creek, Colorado. Options were somewhat limited for a woman who went West, and many chose to capitalize on their feminine wiles in the new and exciting land of possibilities. Pearl's girls were paid well, had nice clothes, and were considered the most beautiful women in camp, from at least some of the gentlemen's opinions who frequented their services (and paid the quite high fees! At one point it was $250 to spend a night with one, at a time when $3 a day was a good wage for a miner). All good things must come to an end though, and on June 4, 1897 Pearl threw her last party- after which she overdosed on morphine taken to help her sleep. Like a number of the painted ladies at the time, Pearl's family thought that she was a dressmaker, and only found out her true profession after she died.

The DeVere sisters come in 6 colours of damask brocade, with a rigged mesh bustle skirt, and a rigged mesh bustle, to move with you. Please do try a demo of the skirts, as rigged mesh cannot be edited to fit- there are two sizes included, a slim size for the waif of an avatar, and a fluffier version for those who prefer to pad their bustles a bit more. There is an optional alpha mask that can be worn with the long skirt- it can do away with the clipping issues on more extreme (and less ladylike, tut tut) poses, but I didn't bother to wear it most of the time. The underthings have ruffles that peek out (Pearl and Hazel come with ivory, the rest with black), under the bloomers, out of the sleeves, and at the bustline- those are sculpt, and can be edited to fit your shape, and include matching lace thigh hi stockings.

The Last Fifty Linden Friday. Ever.

Fifty Linden Friday is coming to an end- this is the very last one. A number of current and previous participants in the event are giving it one last hurrah, myself included.

I have two offerings: a mesh chandelier with candles, and, of course, it wouldn't be a FLF for me without a vest!

Peacock Feather Trees

A resurgence of my obsession with feathers: peacock feather trees. The come in natural green, and a selection of dyed colours:

At the elephant! They are rezzed out around his feet at Baba Yaga's and you can take home the one of your choice right off the lot, and they are also in the basement with the rest of the trees. And! They are in the Starlust Motel lobby, with a selection of other festive goods from some of the vendors of the Starlust!

Rat with Wings

There is an event going on at the Alley shops at Hogwarts: Your Story, the 12 Days of Christmas. Every day, one of the alley merchants puts out something new and special and exclusive- today is my day! I had a teeeny tiny accident when playing around with my wand (see levitation, I'm, uh, not good at that either), and accidentally gave my pet rat wings. He actually kinda likes them.

Transfer for sharing the flying rats, at Schadenfreude in Diagon Alley (end of the road, next to the bank!). The shops are open to the public, though much of the rest of the sim is restricted for role play.

Ornaments!

I have this thing for glass ornaments. I have boxes and boxes of them packed away, and lots and lots of birds (one year I decorated a 7 foot tall Christmas tree primarily with glass birds! I might have a slight obsession...). However, I also have an adorable cat who climbs Christmas trees, so I haven't seen any of them for years.

A few years ago, missing my pretty ornaments rather terribly, I made a bunch of ornaments. I added more this year, and did a bit of tweaking on the old ones (most notably sculpting the clips for the birds, as I finally wrapped my head around a rather clever way to get the shape I needed- so they are 3 fewer prims now). I might even be getting close to as many birds as I have packed up now!

The ornaments are all sculpt and traditional prims (flexi birdy tails)- the tailed bird clip ornaments are 3 prims each, all the rest of the ornaments are 2 prims each, including S swirl hook (I haven't used any of THOSE that I have packed away in years either. The unbreakable ornaments are all wired onto the tree with pipe cleaners, so the cats have to take them apart to get them off. Which they do).

There are 3 different ways to get them.

You can spring for the entire pack, texture change scripted with dialog and HUD, to mix and match metals and glass and feathers however you desire:

The colour packs and the uberpack also come with a mesh broken ornament. The uberpack also comes with a mesh box for storing your ornaments after the seasons.

(Wo)Man in the Moon

A pose prop with my sculpted moon- I've intended to do this for a while (since the moon came into being, which was...a long time before I did anything with him other than hiding enormous moons on the Starlust), and finally tweaked the poses to where I could stand them. Poses are not my thing, I'm picky, but I get frustrated with the stupid distortion very easily.

7 poses with a touch dialog to choose between, and position adjustment. There's also a HUD that lets the owner pick a texture of 8 colours of moon (iridescent, white, silver, steel, black, red, blue, and purple).

Miskatonic Neckties

Ties to match the corsets, the Miskatonic neckties feature a single one of the colourful tentacles rising up from the depths to caress (or strangle?) the wearer, as well as a reversed version. The usual deal with optional attached texture change collars applies.

Nephilid Lingerie

Spiderwebby underwear that goes a bit with the corsets, and a bit with the ties, and a bit with the other spidery stuff. There were sorta supposed to happen last year, but then I ran out of steam (and time...and I sort of burn out after the Halloween crazies), so they are now instead.

Something Wicked Corsets

I rigged the sculpt underbust corsets in mesh, so there is an option for slinking around, and now, you too can break the boots first, then corset rule. I wouldn't recommend poses that are TOO ridiculous, as, you know, you are wearing a steel cage that's squeezing in your tasty organs so it will look silly, but you CAN now anyway. I love just dancing around wiggling in mine. (The mesh version will require some shape editing on your part, say goodbye to your belly fat!)

I made a bunch of new ones while I was at it; in spiderwebs, skulls, and tentacles- everything is still all HUD driven and the mesh one listens just the same as the sculpt, so you can use your old HUDs with the mesh version as well.

Jack o' Lanterns return

A couple of years back, I made some jack o' lanterns. This year, I got the overwhelming urge to add in projector lights- if you have a viewer with the v2 lighting system, turn on shadows with projectors, you can see the pumpkins cast light of their faces in front of them. (And also I finally caved to my desire to make a bunch of greyscale ones for the elephant.)

The transfer ones are scattered around the sim, so you'll have to find the one you want to take it home!

Field Guide to Magical Creatures

I made an art book with hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~. It is mesh, so it requires a mesh capable viewer. There are sample books sitting out by the vendors so you can see them in action, if they look like cylinders instead of books, you are not on a viewer that can see mesh.

(sweater by ~silentsparrow~, hair by lamb, the rest by Schadenfreude. And I had a devil of a time taking those pictures, for some reason the newest version of the official viewer doesn't like snapshots and shadows anymore on my computer.)

The book has 6 original artwork of creatures- the creatures can also be found on t-shirts by ~silentsparrow~. The pages of the book can be scrolled through, with and without an animated effect, and there are closed versions as well as open versions of the book, and you can hold it and read it (in either your left or your right hand). There are a bunch of versions in the box, with varying degrees of scriptiness, and that cost different amounts of prims in land impact (because mesh doesn't count how many prims it'll take up on your land by the number of objects it physically is!)- the most is 3, unless you stretch it too large, because with mesh, size matters too- however the example books are still only 3 prims in land impact, and they are not all that small!

Andromeda and Widowed Ears

The Andromeda ears are chained with dangling stars, and optional sculpted moons with little man in the moon faces. They come on both Fey and Mer-Elf styles of ears, and are HUD controlled with a bunch of metal options and tintable ear tones, with updates when I add more textures.

A quartet of tattoo layers

Last night I shoved these out into the elephant. Four new tattoo layer makeups/tattoos.

The Wadjet Eye (also known as the Eye of Horus) was an Ancient Egyptian protection symbol, I'm sure you've seen it before. This eyeliner of it comes with the Wadjet Eye on both eyes, neither, or either, with the eyes without still having eyeliner and tails at the corners of the eyes, but without the rest below onto the cheeks.

Joe the EyeLioner is me being, well, silly. It's the eyeliner from Joe the Lion, and then some variations on the style.

Tattoo layer eyelashes for those who like that sort of thing (like me- I've never been able to get the hang of wearing prim lashes or not get squicked out by then not moving when you blink) in 4 styles of lashes. Light's very subtle, just natural lash accents, and then there are a few varying degrees of mascara/fake lashes. The two heaviest also come with either eye separate, for a Clockwork Orange kind of effect (or you want to enhance Darling Mr. Betty's eye!)

And a set of tintable dollparts tattoos, to turn yourself into a ball jointed doll. I love bjds in RL, so why not? There are 2 neck styles- the lower cut straight across the neck can be worn on non tattoo layer, but the one with the neck seam at the jaw does require the tattoo layer.

Also, this year's full treat bucket is out in the elephant now, for your clicking pleasure. Acha's gotten hers!

Zombies and candy, who could ask for anything more?

If you've known Schadenfreude for at least a year, you know about the treat buckets. I do them every year, with a different bucket full of candy and accessories and random crap, that will give out treats to anyone who touches it. I was getting all nostalgic this year, pulling them out to look at the buckets past, preparing to make a new one, and decided to put them out _without_ candy. These don't hand out toys, but they also aren't over 100 prims, and you can actually display them without using alll the prims. They're also mod, so you can decorate them yourself, if so inclined. There is a display version, and a carrying version (the carrying version has the same hold pose stuff as the candy giver, including the "trick or treat"). These are the 3 prior years (last year was skull, 3 years ago was cat, which might be my favourite of them all, and the pumpkin was in between- it's sort of a tradition to do a pumpkin every other year, so this year's will be another one), and the somewhat more primmy and not sculpted! one from the first year, that also lights up on command, is on the steps of the elephant for the completionist.

The treat bucket for this year will be out soon, possibly even today, but I make no promises. I sort of didn't sleep much.

And a 'beater, with a blood speckled heart print, the zombie heartbeater. As with them all, ribbed for your pleasure, men's and women's versions included.

October! Events! And the best month of the year!

It's October, which means it's the busiest month of the year for me. Today at noon, the Free*Style anniversary event, 4.44.444, opened. The venue is jam packed full of all sorts of people with special things for 4, 44, or 444L (and photos of our pets, and some rare vintage Toast Bard pictures).

There are 2 new things there, that can't be found anywhere else until after the end of the event. One is Amortentia stockings in rainbow stripes, because, well, I do occasionally make the random ridiculous rainbow things:

It also comes with a black vinyl collar with a texture change Lucent bowtie, as well as Lucent and fabric black and white bowties...I can't be _too_ traditional, after all.

White Amortentia Stockings

The Amortentias return, with white stripes this time. What can I say...I've got a thing for stripes, and sometimes I just want more socks. There are 2 packs, because I wanted to do a 12 pack again...and then ended up with more than 12. Whoops. So there's also a 6 pack of pastels.

Animal Badges

In the same vein as those ties, hya and I got together and made some badges. She drew the cute animals (I dare you to say badger badge 5 times fast!), and I sculpted the thing to put them on. Texture change with a HUD, fit once and clicky clicky.

(I'd totally be a Ravenclaw, though I've never had bangs and only started cutting my hair as short as that lamb hair when I was a fair bit older. The sweater is from ~silentsparrow~, pose by {TERHO}, skin/eyes/shirt/tie by Schadenfreude)

You-Know-Who Neckties

Plurk can be a great place for my random kicking in the pants, when I've intended to do something but then, whoops, forgotten, and someone reminds me. There's a new RP for a certain magic school that's coming up soon, and someone reminded me that I'd kinda sorta thought about doing ties in these colours a few times, and never quite got that far. She also stood in for my little model, which meant that I didn't stress over pictures for forever (and what to wear....that usually takes me forever for no good reason!), not wanting to inconvenience her.

(I fear I don't know where most of this came from, aside from the skin being from Curio, and the poses from {TERHO}, which closes in world TODAY- but you might recognize some of it in the flickr of uniform examples)

Texture change via 2 HUDs- one does the ties themselves, one the optional attached oxford collars, so you can fit once and then clickity click. And, of course, plugs in with the rest of the tie HUDs too.

Ozimals Summer Carnival

There's a carnival going on right now put on by Ozimals. There are games and rides and prizes and a big top! The games are quite fun, though I so can't guess my weight, at ALL.

Put a bird on it!

I've been in a bird mood lately. I shall blame hyasynth for my extended birdiness. These are not even the birds I was working on, but I was annoyed with all the steps I had to go through to get those finished, and creating a silly amount of jewelry mostly from scratch was a welcome distraction. I never said I was smart, or that I didn't hate myself.

Albero Gatcha Festival

There's another gacha festival going on at Albero. I ended up joining a day (or so...) late for this session, but I joined! With plastic flamingoes (I'm gonna make you all start spelling the plural with an e if it kills me. Primarily because I like to say "flaming goes").

There is the traditional pink flamingo (in 2 shades), but they come in 16 colours (because I'm a colour whore), and there are secret hidden rares that are even less traditional. There are 3 styles, head up, head down, and a pair together- each only one prim (though there are secret rares that have an extra prim or two for decoration). A ridiculous copy uberpack of all of them, texture change to not destroy your inventory, is available in Baba Yaga's hut.

Eleanor Sleeveless Blouses

(Tres Blah jeans, though they are ancient and probably long retired but I love them; bracelets are a mix of Violet Voltaire and Lolapop; pose is fine.)

Newly out at the elephant, the Eleanor Sleeveless Blouse. Sort of the little less traditional sister to the Oxfords, a cropped sleeveless button down blouse with a band collar and shaping darts. I have this weird little affection for this type of shirt in RL, and wanting to wear them with the corsets (and with jackets...though Alle tends to go shirtless with jackets...a lot) finally got me to bring them to SL. 25 colours, in brights, pastels, darks, and neutrals so, like the oxfords, they could match whatever I wanted- sold separately and the whole lot of them together in a discounted pack.

I'm Only Happy When It Rains

The Happy When It Rains event has started at Twomoons Island! A bunch of people (myself included) have booths with rainy items for the event. I ended up with 14 new things for it, because I sculpted this little cloud, and then this umbrella, and then sort of went insane. I know, like this was actually a change from my default state.

The clouds, well. They made me channel my inner Japanese girl. She's very small, and cute, and perpetually in her early 20s and wears big frilly floofy skirts. There are 2 sets of Kawaii Clouds jewelry, with bead drops of rain, and strings of rainbow beads.

The clouds made another appearance on a tanktop and t-shirt- the tanktop is the same teal as the Skunk Electro-cute, and can be made into a dress with that set using it instead of the skunk top.

And another prim corset! MiaSnow, our fine host for this event, is always unabashedly courageous with her use of colour, and it's always amazing. The rain soaked corset's colours, and those of the matching necktie, were inspired by her.

And then, of course, if it's raining, you need an umbrella! And so, the parapluies- sculpted brollies that go with the corset and tie. Each contains two umbrellas- a purple to pink outer with a teal to blue inner, and a teal to blue outer with a purple to pink inner. The most traditional ones, to carry around holding, have three holding poses you can cycle between when the owner clicks upon the umbrella. (My poses were ALL conflicting with each other when I was trying to take pictures, though they were perfectly fine with cooperating until I was to that point [bastard SL], so they really DO have the relevant fists set, even though the one there doesn't look it.)

There are also versions that go out in your house- a straight up display version, 4 prims to sit on your floor, and 2 styles of lamp. The chandelier is the more primmy, with 8 lightbulbs, one from each spoke- the umbrella with lights itself is 11 prims, and there are 2 ceiling mounts, a one prim version, and a two prim (they look very similar- the higher prim option provides more flexibility so you don't have to mount them from a level ceiling). The lamp is 4 prims, with the 1-2 prim ceiling mount, with a single lightbulb nestled behind the canopy, softly glowing. There's one of those upside down (or is it right side up?) in the blue sparrow room in the basement right now. Both electrified brollies light and extinguish when anyone clicks on them. And yes, I know they're redundantly named. But that way you can find them when you search in inventory, maybe?

Crann Bethadh Trees, Barrel Bridge, Ice Floes, and some flowers

I've been working on these trees for a while (after finally biting the bullet and saying "ok, I drew these leaves ages ago with the intent to make trees, just make the damn trees already"), finally I finished them. The Crann Bethadh trees are somewhat akin to oak trees, with their dense foliage and heavy trunks. They are another testament to my obsession with low prim: the trees themselves are only 2 prims (add an optional shadow, your choice of static or animated, and they're 3). They come in a selection of 9 colours, normal tree colours and various not-so-normals, and each tree has a particle falling leaf effect (the owner can turn this on and off with a dialog on click). They also come with 2 types of fallen leaves on sculpted groundcover: lightly scattered, and raked up into a pile. They come set with some light glow (the black and white ones have the trunks glowing, the rest it's the leaves), but they're mod so you can de-glow, or more glow, to your preference. But remember to mod your megaprim versions with care, don't resize them!

This bridge is something I made for an area on Horst (I quite liked that swampy little corner with the cattails, and when I was nesting I started making some things for around there), and I've used around the Starlust now and again, right now it's used for the crossing of the river up onto elephant mountain. Three planks tied to four barrels, a rustic 3 prim bridge.

Another thing you might have seen around the Starlust, the Triple Ice Floes were actually originally made for hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ to grace one of her snowy builds. They've also made appearances around whenever I've frozen the sims. 1 prim for all three chunks of ice, static and slowly rotating floating in the body of water of your choice.

And lastly, those desaturated flowers I've had by the elephant since Lloyd was born. They're somewhat primmy (especially the elephant ears), which has been why I've been rather hesitant to offer them, but I've gotten a few requests for them anyway, so here they are, finally.

All of these are NOT in the elephant! They're in Baba Yaga's hut, instead.

Electro-cute Corsets!

I'm really quite fond of the prim corsets, as much as they do limit the poses I can use. And so, there are more. Saccharinly sweet Electro-cute corsets! (I'm in the bat right now...of course.) They come in three packs by Electro-cute, and the bigass pack of all of them. Like the rest, fit once, change with a HUD, so if you already have one of the corsets, you just want to hold onto the HUD for the new patterns.

It's time for Mint Madness! MiaSnow invited a bunch of people to make mint themed items, and I was one of the lucky invitees. And lo, there was mint. From me, there's a corset, necktie, floofy skirt outfit, 2 sets of makeup, sparrow, and eyes. The mint Oxford is also there on sale, and one of the mint feather boas (which is totally a different shade of mint, but regardless!) Mint Madness starts 10am March 10, and runs until March 30 on Twomoons Island.

Regular ties, and a shorter and wider style, the uberpack is HUD change and works with the rest of the HUDed ties (so any of those can be in the short wide style as well, and you don't have to fit new standard ones).

Year of the Bunny

There's a combination birthday/New Year party for the Magic of Oz and Ozimals sims going on right now, with one of the traditional Oz hunts. I'm in it, with eyes! Eyes with little bunnies hidden in them, in green and brown, prim and system.

I chose eyes this time for a very special reason- there's a new Ozimals bunny trait, green eyes named Schadenfreude! Malk and Candy are awesome, and told me about it only AFTER the first occurrence of the trait in breeding- I found out about it after it was announced in Ozimals chat, it was a pretty cool easter egg to log in and find out about (someone else sent me a notecard of the chatlog too!). They are SNEAKY SNEAKY PEOPLE. <3

Go to the Magic of Oz to start hunting! You might want to get there quick, it ends this weekend, the 6th is the last day. There's lots of other awesome from the rest of the shops in the sims too!

Corsetry

Prim corsets...are something I've struggled with for ages due to technical concerns. Mostly being the moving and whoops you're sticking through it part. Now, you get the right AO and that becomes much less of an issue, so I finally said "screw it, I want to wear corset, now" and finished them (they've actually been almost finished since alpha masks were first starting to be introduced. I'm _that_ indecisive).

HUD texture change, sold is sets of 3 by colour with three patterns in each, or a big fat uberpack of the lot of them. They all can have the HUDs added on, so you can just fit once and buy whichever selected colours you want (since the fitting's the hard part anyway), and I might end up adding more patterns, perhaps.

Fitting will require using the Build menu a bit! Not super extreme editing or anything, it's only 2 pieces including the bow (that you can mostly ignore until the end and then just move into place), but you'll want to mod to fit properly. You will also need a non wiggly AO- the less your waist and torso moves around, the closer you can fit your corset! There is a frozen waist animation version as well- however that makes some poses look quite silly, so it's your choice as to whether to use it. There are two shapes of the corset included- one's got wider hips (which is what Alle wears, being pear-shaped), and one with wider ribs, that ought to be better for the ladies who are more top heavy, and perhaps some of the boys as well, what with generally not being as well endowed in the hip area (though it is still of a rather generous ass, so your mileage may vary).

The flooding in Queensland is pretty horrific to watch- it's pretty incredible in a jaw dropping holy fuck I hope everyone is ok kind of way. (And the property damage...oi.) Sanura Sakai of Sanu has put together a charitable event to send some money in that direction to help- it's been all very short notice let's get something done asap. I managed to get mine finished and out with a couple of hours to spare >.<

I made a new unisex necklace for the event:

I ended up offering it as transfer too, though you have to pick boy or girl sized to start with in that case. I prefer copy, and it seems like in this sort of thing most people do (last experiment offering both, sales were almost entirely for the copy version!), so I usually don't, but I figured I might as well in this case for those that want to give one away, since this may not be seen again after the event.

Clementine is the dumbo rat you may recognize from around the Starlust, and the Christmas rats Flopsie and Mopsie. She's got the same three fur colours as the Flopsie and Mopsie shoulder pets, but is not all gussied up for Xmas. Without whiskers she weighs in at 15 prims, with whiskers...quite a few more.

Now that wasn't really the reason the bee stuff happened, but I must admit, working on them did remind me of it.

Stripey short dresses, named after the honey priestesses of Ancient Greece. Of course, there's yellow, unusual for me, because I find it a pain in the ass to work with. There's also a not-dress option, I don't even know what to call it. Sort of lingerie but not really? They're somewhat related to the Nancys, and have a bee zipper pull in the back instead of the spider there. They are, of course, also available each colour separately. I've been messing around with the way I package things a bit lately.

Strigen belts, Strigoi Top Hat

Strigen is a HUD control texture change leather belt, with a silver batwinged buckle, and coffin and spike studs around it. You might recognize the basic shape from the belt that holds up the Striges skirts- but now it comes in high and low waist versions, sized for men and women, without the skirts as well.

(BATS shirt from Pig at the Albero gatcha festival though I'm special and have a mod version I tinted; awesome Fashionably Dead vampire skin I've only taken off for ads since I got it; ~silentsparrow~ fledermaus tattoos which are pretty much always on my skin now- yeah, I just didn't change out of what I've been wearing at all for that one; Gritty Kitty hair and Nomine skin on him, not that you can see much! Poses are Imperial Elegance and/or Luth, probably. I forget.)

And I'm totally running out of words with that root for batty things.

The Strigoi Top Hat is similar to the one from Strigoi Viu, but on my new sculpted hat base so it's crumpled a little, with black and brown leather textures for the hat base, and texture change options for the rest of the elements to match the rest of the colours of the rest of the bat elements. There's also a sneaky version of the hat in there with just the band and bat, no trailing bit hanging down the back.

(her hair is Clawtooth; his hair is Lazy Places; his skin is, erm. Den Dou, I think. I have a weird collection of creepy skins, don't ask. And fucked if I recall which pose stand I was on that night, these are both from a few days ago and I forgot the fanfare, sorry!)

These are my items for the Horrorfest's chosen charity, the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, which urges tolerance of differences. Horrorfest takes up the entire sim of Floyd, and is full of awesome goodies. It runs until Halloween itself.

Jorogumo and the Spiderbum

Like Strix and Strigoi Mort, or Striga and Strigoi Viu, Jorogumo is one of my big sets for the Halloween season, when I let myself indulge in some spooky finery. The female set always precedes the male set, and the male set is usually just barely under the wire. With the whole mesh thing that makes me want to wander off and play with the beta grid....we'll see if I do better this year. Or worse.

Jorogumo is a shapeshifting spider in Japanese folklore. She likes to take the form of a beautiful woman, and lures men to their deaths. Because after all, them's good eatin'. The set is a combination of spooky steampunky and burlesque elements revolving around bustled spider butted skirts.

The Seasons Hunt

The Seasons Hunt is on September 25-October 9, and features goodies from a host of shops all over the place (awesome awesome stuff in this hunt!) From me, a pair of jack o' lanterns with a spider theme (this may just possibly going to be the year of the spider...), 3 prims each.

And they do tricks when you touch them! The owner gets a dialog with options: you can light them or extinguish the flame, you can choose whether the lit interior glows or not, and whether the light cast is solid or flickers softly.

Except not really, because I keep my vampires and my glitter separate generally. Unless you are talking about the elusive FruitBat. And I have yet to see one of you who can compete with his cape flourish.

Langwidere Cool Planet of Dreams

Glitter...yeah, it's just something I do on skins. Just the cool tones are available so far (greens, blues, and purples- this way I actually got some done....skins take forever >.< The rest will happen at some point)- from the old Moonage Daydream set, Ocean, Lunar, and Emerald are updated for the new skins, and they brought some new friends. Like the Basics, nude lips come with the skins, and matching glitter lipsticks are on the tattoo layer (plus this time matching nails as well) so you can mix and match to your heart's content.

Langwidere Basics

A quartet of minimalist makeups are available in the new Langwidere skins. Skins come with regular boobs and a pushup option, as well as optional freckles. Brows are tintable with hair bases (and there are a bunch of sample hair bases to get you started). The skins all come with light lips- and darker lips on the tattoo layer. Each skin comes with one set of lips (just the lips, and lips with red or black nails), and the four pack of skins comes with the entire set of 10 lips (with and without nails). The lips are also available separately in sets, and work pretty well with a variety of skins (they are not guaranteed to work though! It all depends on the lip shape of that skin). Moonlight, Twilight, and Dawn come with shades of pink lips.

Alopex, on the other hand, comes with shades of purples.

I'm retiring the old Langwidere and Orpheus skins, as I've been messing around with the bases again and am happier with them now. So, time for the old ones to clear off! A few of the new Langwidere skins are available now in a small selection of tones, more will be added as I go...eventually. Yeah.

ANYWAY. Retirement means retirement sale! L$100 per skin for the old ones, in the basement room with the blue sparrow wallpaper (and the furniture on the ceiling). They will be on sale until I nuke them which will be...sometime, when I've got more new ones out. There will be a warning in the in world group and the sub-o group when I figure out when.

Riga Kicks

A rainbow of slinky knee-high boots with a playful heel, the Riga Kicks were something I made just about exactly 2 years ago, but was kinda meh on my texturing skills at the time when it came to them. (Also, it was in the middle of a fashion show for which I was making a number of all new things _and_ Shoe Fair, and I sort of got a case of terminal oh god kill me now burnout.) I've dusted them off and started over from scratch on texturing them, and am much happier now. The are traditionally mod and _not_ made such that the foot must be sized particularly to the calf, for easier fitting on a wider range of avatars. They come with with one piece attachments with the ankle locked, and two piece (which also let you wear just the foot bit with long pants), so you can decide which way you prefer to wear them. They also come with invisiprims and with alpha masks, so whether you have a 2.0 featured viewer or not, you're set (me, I'm excited about alpha masks because that's another reason I kept waffling on them- the avatar foot doesn't go for a heel quite that high so it's made up in bulky platforms, so the invisiprims are larger than I really like....as I generally hate invisiprims making floors disappear entirely). Uberpack has a texture change HUD to let you fit just once and then change _that_ at a click.

Collars

A quartet of leather collars that take me back to my highschool years (not that I don't still have, and occasionally wear them still...). Though these have nice finished edges, and can easily be changed between 12 leathers (edging can be changed to a contrasting colour as well), 12 metals, and in the case of Adalheid, 13 gemstones as well, all with a uberfatpacks, if you wish to have mismatching spikes or gems.

Alternative Fair

There's an Alternative Fair going on right this very minute on the center of the Nomine/Snatch quad, until May 2. Lots of great designers with goth/loli/neko/cyber/etc. styles, so if things a little less mainstream are your speed, this is the fair for you.

All the participants of the fair have special items out to benefit the fair charity, Nothing but Nets, who provide mosquito nets for families in areas of malaria danger. Malaria is not a fun disease- it is the leading cause of death and disease worldwide. It's only curable if caught early enough- and then only if you have access to the treatment, which most of the families helped by Nothing but Nets do not have (and, they would just be at risk for reinfection each time, living in areas of danger). My mother caught malaria when visiting South America as a teenager, but is lucky enough to have had access to modern medicine (and better nutrition) so fatality wasn't an issue, however not lucky enough to have realized that was what it was, until it was far too late to be cured (it's much like a flu at onset). To this day, she has periodic flareups, days of high fevers and lethargy, mitigated but not stopped entirely by quinine.

The tightrope walker is back, with her floofy petticoated skirts and miniskirts. Spring has sprung at the Starlust. I'm a little late cluing you've in, but you've probably already heard: there's an Easter Egg hunt going on until the 9th here. The eggs are....not terribly hard to find.

hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ has once again joined me in our prizes: the dress I'm wearing is in my egg, and the socks we are both wearing are in hers (along with a few others!)

I'm a bad bad keep up on my blogginger.

This was the stuff from, um, a bit ago. Before the last few posts and I just haven't gotten to it. (I've been going back and forth between new computer of awesomeness, and old laptop of actually-has-Photoshop-as-I-can't-find-my-disksness, so I've been extra bad at keeping up lately as I wanna plaaaaaay on the machine on which I cannot _do_ anything.)

One of the first things I made with prims when I returned to SL (when I could actually see prims...as when I first joined SL my computer at the time didn't really like objects, at all) was an ankh. When I rebooted Schadenfreude at the Jewelry Expo a few years back, one of the things that I had was this ankh necklace. It was all, of course, normal primitives, jammed together to make a somewhat pleasing shape- which I've kept for the most part, just better. I've been meaning to update is for quite a while, and finally got myself motivated to actually _do_ that, so the new one is sculpted and I baked some pretty shiny textures for it, in normal and zany colours. (HUD change ankhs to whatsoever you desire, as usual!) It comes as a set of two necklace lengths and earrings, or separately:

The Black Bacchanal

I promised Friday you would see more: here's more! And after the Black Bacchanal, there will be yet more!

The Carnival has rolled into town, to silent sparrow, in The Rookery floating high above the sim. Once you teleport to the sim, you will see large mushrooms in the courtyard. Those will take you flying high to The Rookery, if you but sit upon them.

At the Bacchanal, you will find a host of goodies from a selection of designers. From me, you will find a few things:

A skin! Yes, again with the occasional skin releasing. I'm close to getting to a proper skin release, promise.

I'm behind on blogging. I have a new computer. A new droolworthy desktop (I've been using the same laptop for the past 3 or 4 years, maybe longer, I forget- you can imagine anything is a HUGE step up!) that I've been playing with and setting up and oooing and ahing over Windlight (which I could only _kinda_ get to work on the laptop, and even then rarely), and as a consequence I've been getting nothing done! (Especially as it takes hours to do simple tasks of set up...computers hate me and try to drive me insane by finding all possible ways to not do easy things. It took an hour to hook up plug and play speakers. CRAZY.)

ANYWAY. WILD.Released has been released! What is that, you ask? (And even if you didn't, let's pretend.) It's an event running March 20 to April 19 with a bunch of participants! Go to any one of the participating stores (there are a few of them to choose from. They are all super awesome), and buy an item that includes a WILD.Released Stamp Card. There are little signs all over marking things. Wear your Card, and visit each store, stamping it at the stamp kiosks. Turn in your stamped card for fabulous prizes!

The prize from Schadenfreude is a set of skins, and ears. The skins are part of the skin revamp that's kinda sorta on its way and not officially done yet- each of the girl makeups includes a version with freckles and without, each of those include hello boobies cleavage and regular, and each of those come anatomical down there or smooth like a Barbie doll (I'm a prude, and this way I can wear really scandalously cut things without worry!). Each of the boy makeups includes a version with freckles and without, and those with a mangarden down there or shaved, because I hear it makes tinting the pixelpeens easier. If you wanna see what I mean, check out Achariya's blog.

The ears are the Mer-Elf cousins to the Stumblebum Fey Ears with Ankhs&Plugs, named so unimaginatively. They have the same options- lifetime tone updates, 12 metals for ankhs and rings/studs, all with a handy HUD, mod for extra tinting. The plugs work with plug addons like the Electro-Cutes. The gauged version of the Mer-Elf ears will of course be making more appearances later.

There is _also_ an update to all ears: that lavendery tone up there, Alopex, is going to be a "standard" tone when the skins are released, so it's been added to the ears. (Yes, I'm a weirdo, but someone very special likes it, so it will be coming in a lot...especially a lot of bloo! It's not a horrible base to start tinting from for Launa Fauna's Snow Fae skins, either.) They are NOT in the vendors yet, you need to wear your earmuffs even if you're just getting them now (the only exception being those Mer-Elf ears). They will be, I just have been running around doing other things instead!

WILD.Released cards are only at the mainstores! (Because carding and decarding is bad enough as it is...) So, find participating merch and my stamp kiosk at the elephant!

Also!! Melt ends today. I don't know when. Get your ass over there if you want stuff, a lot of it is exclusive, though not all (but I don't know what isn't!) Also, it's beautiful, so you should see it before it goes anyway. Especially if you have pretty water. And then you should submit your pictures to the Mirror Installations pool. So I'm not so spamsome as I went crazy taking pictures with the new computer with the pretties, oh, the pretties...

Melt

Melt ends soon- the 21st is its last day. Some things will be around at their respective places, some things will never be seen again. Not to mention the venue itself, which is amazing and very worth seeing and exploring.

Amortentia Stockings and Aqua Koi Corset

Striped mid-thigh stockings, in pairs of sheer and opaque- the Rose stockings from Stumblebum make a reappearance in other colours (with a bit of restriping of the feet...). 12 colours to match a little bit of everything!

A Stumblebum Valentine

This time Stumblebum is a whole week (it ends Friday!), so I've been tardy telling you about it, what with other things! Once again, hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ have been Stumbling together, with coordinating dusky rose pieces. There are lovely Kurai Tart pieces (bodice, skirt, and armwarmers) from her, and a quartet of items from me.

The Viburnum Top Hat and Seith Jacket in Rose- other colours were also released this weekend, but the Rose will never be seen again after Friday:

The Amortentia Stockings are alone, for now: there will be similar striped stockings at some point in the not too distant future, but these particular ones won't be appearing again!

And the Conqueroo trousers are a hybrid between the pants found in Moroi, and those in Bixin.

Circus circus!

Some new circusy striped goodness! The hat matches ~silentsparrow~'s Chapiteau set, and features the same artwork. It comes with a HUD that lets you mix and match colours from all the regular release Chapiteau sets- all 5 cameos, stipes in the 5 colours and black, hatbands and scarves to match, with optional lace edging on the scraves. (They're probably not really really scarves, but I tie scarves around my top hat, so that's what I shall call them!) Now this one is a bit complicated. Because, you see, it's a collab with Scribble, even though the pieces all work awesomely separately as well. Firstly, I shall tell a story.

Once upon a time, Radio Signals, who is, like most (if not all) of the designers in SL who make wonderful things that I love, a fantastic traditional artist as well as someone who creates amazing things in SL, took a day off SL to draw. And made this:

And it is beautiful. And, well. Why not make that come to life in SL, since, you know, we can do those things here? That's one of the things that makes SL awesome to me- we have the possibilities to do things here that we couldn't do as easily, if at all, in RL. We've got this awesome weird little artists colony here of people who can bring their creations to life, and you can walk about being that art.

My part is the horns. I've been playing around with horns and antlers for quite some time, never really finishing any of it, but this gave me a good reason to stop cursing at textures and figure out something that I liked finally. There are 6 softly ridged colours (in natural neutrals), and 12 hard solid colours (including wacky colours like blue and purple and red and green), and a demo so you can try them on and check out all the colours instead of me smashing them in the ad there somewhere.

You can also blame Radio for the "font" there- she doesn't use a font, she writes on all of her ads (which I love <3), and I'm still trying to get more comfortable with a tablet. (To all of you who lament not having a tablet so you can't create...I hardly ever use a tablet. I didn't have a tablet that worked with my computer for my first year or two creating in SL, and I'm still not super comfortable with it and don't have the degree of control I expect- i.e. anywhere near what I get on paper- so I still hardly ever use a tablet. I drew the electro-cute critters with a tablet, but my shading on everything? Mouse. I'm trying to get more comfortable with it, so I wrote those words there, writing one letter, hitting undo, rewriting, hitting undo...until it actually was sort of what I wanted, and moving on to the next letter. I "draw" a little better with a tablet, and the background was somewhat easier than the words, but that's because aside from constantly undoing and redoing, I also go back with an eraser and clean up where my lines suck. So it still takes longer than a mouse. But I'm going to try to make myself keep practicing because I have improved a lot with practice so far, I no longer shake as ridiculously uncontrollably, so there may be more random little scribbles in the backgrounds in the future.)

But! So! Radio's side of the awesome here was the dress (which has lots of great options including shorts and leggings and comes with the cute little blouse, and you can get in all sorts of colours to placate your inner rainbow faun, or anyone else who needs the cutest spotty bum ever), and the skull (which is amazingly only 3 prims and I am so jealous of the amazing texture there I cannot tell you), and a great bundle with the artwork for your wall in SL (I hear that she's looking into prints too, so you can have real live art for your real live walls).

There are also exclusives for Stumblebum at Scribble this weekend- a few different colours of the outfit, and a special black skull. BLACK AS MY SOUL.

(Accidentally redthing is not for Haiti. It's a long story. Suffice to say I'm really amazingly incredibly absentminded and didn't even connect the red until 11:45, even though I had been intending to do something _else_ for the fundraiser but was too late getting started, and the call for new vendors had already closed. That other thing shall happen for a future fundraiser for the Red Cross sometime, fingers crossed that by then we can work a deal with our overlords that gets the end charity a better deal with them waiving some of their cut on cashing out!)

Stumblebum Brigade- Fey ears with Ankhs

The Stumblebum Brigade has come to town again, with a weekend of exclusive love! This weekend hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ and I are back again, with matching things- this time we both did ankhs. She made fantastic cropped Kurai jackets with ankh accents and beautiful swirl brocade, and I am still on an ear kick, so I made Fey ears with ankhs:

I redid my metals entirely and added a bunch of new options- there are 11 metals that the rings and studs can change to, and the ankhs have matching options (but change separately)- gold, silver, copper, dark silvery steel, gleaming white, shiny black, and a nobium rainbow of hot pink, red, green, blue, and purple. (This jewelry will never been seen again after this weekend, so if you like it, you've got until Sunday night!) These also feature plastic plugs in 9 colours- the plugs will also change with all the addon HUDs with original art that will be released eventually (there's a sneaky preview of one to come in that first picture up there!)

As you can see, hyasynth and I went to Ozimals to frolic in our matching pieces- boy hya makes the best gay boyfriend ever <3

Fey Ears, Spiral Horns

New ears! Stretched fey ears, with spirals in 15 colours- like the Mer-elf ears, there are lifetime updates included for when I add more tones (and the same tones are included to start off with as well). I'm quite fond of these ears, and have been wearing them quite a bit lately. More jewelry styles to come, of course- some very soon! There will be plain unstretched ones as well, eventually, but I haven't gotten to remaking the sculpt yet (the importance of doing that isn't apparent in this set, but will be in other jewelry, eventually).

Some new things!

One of my cascading releases, as certain things I made to be worn with certain other things (...and just for the ads), because I'm crazy like that.

3 new hairstyles, Branwen, Lethe, and Thomas. The uberpacks, as always, changes with a HUD so you can choose sections to dye as well. Branwen's the one that started this new session of obsessiveness, thanks to hya for suggesting the name that got me on this kick (♥), even if it was evil!

Lethe's been sitting in my inventory, nameless, for a while. It uses my first hair sculpts, and might actually be the first hair I made with sculpted bits, another one of my infinite A-lines (because that's what I try to get my hair to do, but hairdressers, do they listen? Noooo, they just give me bobs. Most successful I've managed so far was hacking my own hair off one night). I release hairs in chunks because when I get one ready I use the excuse to look through the old ones I haven't let out yet, hence, Lethe finally got textured properly and ready to go.

Thomas is Thom's longer and floppier twin brother, who's been intended since before Thom was released, but I hadn't quite gotten myself to finish it.

Both white and black ravens come in two versions- a shoulder sitting version with curved claws to hold onto your shoulder better (and can of course also be rezzed to perch on braches!), and one with flat feet for standing on flatter surfaces, along with some fluffy bits around his legs.

Finned Mer-elf ears, which I decided I needed for Lethe (which, when I dug it out to retexture it, decided looked like it would be quite suitable for a mermaid). They have a few textures to start (1 pure white shaded texture, and the 8 tones of Langwidere/Orpheus, so it's got a somewhat decent range of natural tones to start tone matching better with tinting from at the moment- and of course most people who are not me wear hair that covers the ears a bit so an exact match isn't usually as required, just close), and of course can be tinted to match your skin better- and I'll be adding more skintones. There is an updater included, so when more tones are added, wear the updater and get the new HUD delivered straight to you!

Eyes, ties, and 50L Fridays all weekend long!

Firstly, the time sensitive information- though not as much as most weeks! Since you should all have been partying when things were put out, and you should be at home (well, it doesn't have to be _your_ home) asleep and preparing for your hangover today, 50L Friday this weekend goes until Sunday.

2 things this week, unisex and even, *gasp!* skewing to the boys for a change:

her eyes: Beloved Designs, the work of Aisuru Rieko (as one might have problems searching through various beloved things, her blog is also in my sidebar). This may sound funny in light of things further down in this post, but I adore her eyes and recommend them highly. Miriel's eyes are still more of what I think of when I think "me" (I've been wearing them for so long it's not a surprise!), but when I am complimented upon my eyes, after sharing the sad tale of Miriel's departure, I point them in Aisuru's direction instead, as her eyes are also magnificent and share a lot of the same qualities that made me originally fall in love with Miriel's.

their hair and her skin: unreleased, the former should be out soon(ish) as going through all the hoops to get hair ready for release takes a few days, the skin is me tilting at windmills leisurely remaking my skin base, and starting to play with alternates before I even have the blank slate ready.

A matching set of eyes and necktie- they will both be available after 50L Friday, _but_ only in the uberpacks for each. If you want them without everything else, now is the time to act!

The eyes and tie set are the stragglers (as I have a tendency to often throw in an extra to the uberpacks, just because) from the eyes and ties also released last night. Neckties to match the snowflakes you can find in lantern and framed form in the gifthaus, the geometric repeats taken out of the more wintery context can be worn all year round but those looking for a somewhat less traditional but not in your face tie, I would think. All 10 designs (the Kraken also features the mermaids, and thus the mermaids were the one to become the bonus extra) from the snowflakes, separate or in the scripted uberpack that all the ties feature:

And matching eyes. The eyes are proof positive that I'm insane, btw, as I decided yesterday to make them. Thankfully I already had a bit of an eye template (for those who've been in the Schadenfreude group for a long time, you might have my only other foray to date into eyes hiding somewhere in my inventory- they were huge cartoony brown eyes, and quite silly by design, they also grace the Llamas and the unicorns, stuffed and mounted on my wall), so I wasn't entirely starting from scratch (because then there's no way I would have made the deadline, it was dicey as it was! Ads always seem to take forever and I'm not really sure why they should take near as long as they do). I changed a bit here and there about it, completely redid a few things, and added the snowflake motifs subtley overlaid into the irises:

The whites are the built in SL eye whites (I personally am not a fan of the red and yellowy ones that seem to be so popular these days, but that's a personal preference!), so you can tint these to a degree in Appearance without it bleeding into the whites of your eyes. I wouldn't recommend a great deal of tinting as you'll lose a lot of the depth, but a slight tint generally isn't that bad.

SL native eyes are a fairly low resolution (which generally isn't a huge problem as they are rather a small detail thing, and one has to intently gaze at one's eyes to see the degredation), so these patterns _are_ rather subtle. There are also prim eyes included, with a blank base, for those both who would like to have eyes with a touch more clarity, and those who would like to mismatch eyes. (And of course those are mod too, so you can have eerie fullbright at midnight eyes or other special effects if desired!)

I had rather a lot of fun making the eyes, and you might see more eyes from me without the hidden patterns, and in sizes more than just the standard SL size (which is a bit large for some people's eyes, depending on shape. It is what I wear though, large though they may be, the more realistic size never looks right on me).

All of this and more, of course, at the elephant! The 50L Friday stuff is in the usual place on the steps up into the elephant's head, straight ahead and past the table when you walk in (as last night rezzing was being absolutely horrid and people were having problems seeing anything).

I finally got a subscriber dealie- so I decided to reward people for giving up a group slot, the old group would become a VIP group. Mostly because I'll feel guilty this way and give them things more often. Because I'm random, in the notice archive you can currently find:

Scary Witch hats in Christmas and Hanukkah stripes(with and without spiders, that can be changed with the HUD from the full version of the Scary Witch hat, though it will not change the hat since you couldn't change it back!)

The Santa hat is also out for purchase in the shop, on the table with the more traditional Santa hats, in transfer and copy versions, so you can choose just for you, or to give to a friend. The copy version comes with a HUD that lets you easily see all the options- the transfer version has a touch menu instead so you don't have to worry about losing track of one of the pieces.

And they are also with this year's stocking! Full of lots of bizarre randomness, as always, there are a couple of new hidden treats this year for the patient/obsessive.

Stumblebum Brigade!

The Stumblebum Brigade is coming to town again, bringing with them exclusives only available this weekend, 12:01am SLT Saturday morning to 11:59pm SLT Sunday, after which they go poof and will never be seen again. Sunday night, the Brigade will disappear until the next time (with the holidays, that won't be until January!), when there will be entirely new exclusives.

This week there are 10 new designers participating, and two of them have been plotting behind the scenes.

More Christmasy

A small glass bird to perch upon your shoulder (or head, or wherever one chooses!), touch to colour change, transfer for giving a cute little bit of cheer to a friend.

Glittery tinsel trees, for decorating: they come in a variety of colours, and in a rotating and hue shifting version, with assorted settings you can monkey with.

And a gacha machine, finally! I've been meaning to have a gacha for a while. I've got some of the stuff for it but haven't finished all I was thinking about doing in the first go (I'll probably end up adding more later anyway, but still, I need to start out with something!) This is not the gacha I've been thinking about, this is geared just towards Christmasy, a gacha full of ornaments. The machine itself is a little tree on a post.

The bird is at the gifthaus, the purple Turnip Homes house at the base of the elephant. The trees are at the tree farm on Horst. And there's a gacha both places!

New wintery things from Schadenfreude! I made snowflakes this year, 10 different designs. They're sort of like the snowflakes we made as kids, folding pieces of paper up into six sections and cutting all the layers at once. However mine have hidden designs too (which, yes, I admit, I've been trying to hide in them ever since I was a kid, but I wasn't anywhere near as good at it then and mostly made squinty little devil faces with pointy ears then).

The snowflakes come framed in 2 different versions- one has a handmade light blue paper backing in front of which the snowflake is suspended, the other has no backing and is just the snowflake suspended in glass, the wall behind will show through. Both versions are 3 prims, so not too terribly hard to use for decorating.

And! All 10 designs are also available in matching lanterns! These are also 3 prims each, and cast a light that can be changed by the owner by touching it- it can be turned off entirely, it can be made still, or it can jiggle back and forth a bit with the wind.

All the snowflakes and lanterns are out in the new gift hut, a purple Turnip Homes tea house, sitting on the hill with the elephant. Everything in there is transfer for giving to friends, since it is that time of the year, after all!

Also, the tree farm is back up sprawled across Horst. Mopsie's a bit navigationally challenged this year, so I hope you enjoy smacking into the ice cream and/or the unicorn as much as I do (in fact...I kinda....don't want to fix it).

New this year at the farm are 2 prim fir trees.

Head over to the elephant, but don't go up the stairs! The gift hut is outside near the elephant, as is Mopsie whose dearest wish is for you to hop on her back and ride her to the tree farm. Her sister Flopsie would love to escort you back.

50L Fridays!

It's my week for 50L Fridays again, and this time you get a few things!

Firstly, a pair of vests, in red, and green, because it's that time of the year.

And, the cat mask I was wearing for a chunk of October. When sculpts first came out, my first thought was "oooo, skulls!" (and thus were born Jerry, Clarence, the unnamed little dudes made into ornaments, and a bunch of other silly little guys who will probably never be finished but were fun to prod at), and my second thought was "oooo, masks!" The second thought I didn't really follow up much- at first I just wasn't happy with what could be done under the limitations of sculpts, and there already is an awesome mask source, Illusions. Eventually I figured out another way to make them that got by my biggest problem (eye holes!), that had its own fun pitfalls. I finally got this one "done" as much as it is because the unicorn needed a Halloween costume...and then argued with myself about finishing it, and kinda sorta wanted to sneak out a sneaky preview as is since who knows when (or if, honestly!) I'll ever really get done what I'd like to do for it. And...this 50L Fridays came about and I said "well, why not!?" The mask is out in both copy/no trans and trans/no copy versions, so you can get one for yourself and mod to your heart's content without worry, or give a gift to a deserving friend.

And then, not for 50L Fridays but it finally got me to finish it and do the ads and junk: a striped vest to match the Stripey Patchmas pants. Just because!

Starlust Trash Hunt!

So, we're kind of a trashy people at the Starlust. But we are also messy. We need you to clean up after our crap, because we've left trash all over the sims, full of goodies.

From Schadenfreude, a tie with a cockroach on it (you might recognize him if you've been eating the Valentine's candy, or looked at the wall in the lobby), and a pair of pants upon which, quite bored in class, I have scribbled a bit.

There are lots of other goodies from other people out there- start hunting at the lobby!

I've been keeping my soapboxing off the feeds and on my "personal" blog (which is mostly neglected and doesn't feed anywhere), but some of this is information that perhaps, needs to be seen by a wider audience (especially #2, alternate systems). I'm long and wordy, so I'm going to only post links:

My problem with the roadmap- an analysis of the real reason the new "roadmap" doesn't sit well with me.

xstreet alternatives- a short form with the 6 (only 5 are up and running at the current time) xstreet alternatives I found, and my quick reaction to each. If you go to the blog itself, the previous entries are more in depth on each service- still very cursory as this was my first run through to compare features, so I very well may have missed things, but my first glance, and what made me decide which ones to proceed with on a more in depth basis. I've started posting on MVX, (very) slowly, and will probably cross post more things to other services as well. I will only be picking one as the "catalog" service that is what I would rather see xstreet be than the new system however, simply due to the fact that all listing takes a very long time.

Copper Cat Corset and more neckties

The elephant has been getting terribly cramped, so it's new room time! (The elephant is still pretty cramped...I haven't finished reorganizing things. Also...it may be yet another new room time soon...) New room, means new corset to match:

(eyes are retired by Miriel, Jinx hair, Bixin pants, Koijini jewelry, Moonage Daydream skin)

p.s. Obviously not _forearm_ tattoo, but upper arm tattoo. But, I haven't been getting enough sleep and tomorrow is yet another early morning, so I'll try to remember to fix that later, whoops.

Once it's been out for a bit, it'll be moving into its room, as the rest of them have.

New ties as well, the one to match the new corset, and the Sparrow corset, and 3 other motifs- Erzulie was an old group gift, but gained the second in the pair and has been rereleased following people requesting it lately; Leo was seen in Joe the Lion and is finally ready to go. In separate pairs with each motif, and a HUD controlled fatpack of the set.

And another set of ties, these with spiderwebs in an assortment of colours. These totally slipped my mind...but _I_, at least, will wear spiderweb covered ties all year round, so that's ok.

All out in the still overstuffed elephant, who will be shedding his wings...soon.
