Tuxedo Corsets

(psst! You want to read past the cut to find out where to get the AWESOME L$1 pose sets [an entire set of 10 or 15 for 1 spacedollar!] used in a lot of the ads.)

SL crashed on me, and I desperately need to follow its example, so I'll try to be quick(ish) here.

Newthing! Tuxedo Corset suits, option tails for the jackets, bowtie, velvet choker, top hat, pants, 2 skirts (scripted, of course, non scripted versions packed away if you need them), 2 pairs of gloves. I think that's everything, I'm tired and only got 5 hours of sleep last night. The long ones thrown in because I used them to cheat the shirt layer for sleeves with the jacket (Note: Do not wear without jacket unless you're aiming for a wardrobe malfunction), and hey, more gloves are always nice.

Separate, or divvied into 2 fatpacks of 4: a monotone with the white, grey, black, and pink(! Gogo = bad influence), and a set of the jewel tones with black. The jewel tones have gloves that very subtly differ, while the gloves are black, the buttons at the wrist match the colours. Plus, buy either fatpack and you get a tophat that changes all those colours on touch (plus the hat itself can go green or purple or whathaveyou), a bowtie that changes all the colours on touch, and the secrethiddenbonus of the two pair of (also colour change) sculpted high heel shoes used in a lot of the pictures! And they're mod.

Here's hoping I get this right.

The Lady in Black: Hair is Philotic Energy Xin in Ruby, Skin is TaP Vivant Almond Fleur SE, and Schadenfreude Astraios earrings
The Lady in Grey: Hair is Pudge's The Valerie, Skin is Another Shop Re Wrath, boots unreleased, and Schadenfreude Geoffrey Monocle and Flewksbriar earrings
The Lady in White: Hair is Philotic Energy Billie in Black, Skin is Minnu Old Hollywood gloss, and not that you can see but I think she's wearing the as yet unreleased DA Venus earrings in gold
The Lady in Pink: Hair is Philotic Energy Eira in Sandy Blonde, Skin is Minnu Pale Lime, and Schadenfreude Heortecaeg earrings
The Lady in Red: Hair is Pudge The Jill, Skin is Another Shop Re Lust, boots unreleased, and Schadenfreude Blood Ruby earrings
The Lady in Green (and I use "lady" loosely, I usually don't clean up this well =p): Hair and Skin unreleased, and Schadenfreude Buckle Platform boots and DA Jupiter necklace
The Lady in Blue: Hair is Pudge The Crystal, Skin is Skins by Cathy Aphrodite
The Lady in Purple: Hair is Pudge The Kiki, Skin is unreleased, Stockings are Savvy? Concubine Trash, Grave is Arcadia Asylum, Brackle is from the stockings I just took away since it's after Xmas, Schadenfreude Buckle Platform boots
All eyes by Miriel.

I blame Pudge for these ads taking me days upon days. I love Pudge hair, it's infinitely adorable, and The Jill got me on a riding theme for the red, and it snowballed from there.

Seriously, I just had this vision of a saucy fashionista that would go on a fox hunt and thoroughly scandalize everyone there, with style. I...sort of want a horse now. And I have the Another Shop skins (which, if I were in the market for skins, would actually have been at the top of my list even before she started giving them away, I think they're gorgeous), so even though it would be thoroughly weird to not be Allegory...

You should stop by Schadenfreude anyway, I'm taking up the gifts next, and the jingle bells earrings (that jingle!) were only put out a couple of days before Christmas so you may have missed them. Also, so many of the poses are from the awesome sets that my neighbor Gogo of Demoiselles (she also fronts the beach, other side of that walkway between shops- she really is next door) is giving away for L$1! She's the other reason this all took so long.

All in the La Reina location for now. Tomorrow when I'm not dead I should be putting the tuxes out elsewhere.

'Nog recipe

I make a wicked eggnog (I also make a mean eggnog cake that uses a couple of cups of this eggnog in the place of the eggs and milk). If you haven't had 'nog made from scratch, you haven't had 'nog. Mine is at heart a Williamsburg recipe. It makes a massive amount. Too much for my not-small mixer, not to mention enough for a small army (you don't want to save eggnog for long, it is, by far, best fresh). I usually make at most a half recipe- and in the future even when I want a full I need to make two halves (at least I come by it honestly, my grandmother used to use every dish in the house when cooking...and at least I didn't get egg on the ceiling...this year). I used Omega 3 healthy eggs this year...and learned that a) the yolks are fragile which makes separating a pain, and b) the whites fluff up full of air more than regular eggs, for some reason. So, not _really_ a recommendation.

Full recipe:

18(!) eggs
3 cups fine granulated sugar
1 quart heavy cream
1 quart milk (we use Lactaid)
1 bottle of bourbon (note: recipe calls for 5 bottles, of cognac. Recipe overdoes the alcohol so you cannot taste the eggnog. Still, have a second bottle handy in case you decide it needs more)
fresh nutmeg, with grater

Take your 18 eggs, and separate whites and yolks into 2 mixing bowls. Do not attempt without a mixer unless you really want lots of arm hurting (but, I suppose, it would contribute to good biceps!), because next you add 1 cup sugar to the whites, and beat them thoroughly until they are "very light." I go for starting to hold its shape a little- "mommy, I want to be merengue when I grow up."

Set that aside, and now it's time your yolks got a beating. We're going for thick and pale this time, and once that's reached, add in the rest of the sugar, and continue mixing. Very slowly add half the bottle of bourbon, and stir it in. Stir in the heavy cream and the milk, and put the whole mess in a punchbowl. Pour in the rest of the bottle.

Fold in the egg whites- not super mixed! Ladle out a cup, grate from nutmeg over the top, and taste it to decide whether that second bottle is needed. Keep "tasting" until either you think it's got the right amount of bourbon, or you can't feel your feet.

Enjoy your holidays, dealing with family now may be a little more palatable, if you're drunk off your ass.

Buckle boots

Bad blogger, no cookie. I posted this last night, and you ated it.

Allegory has been wearing the plain buckle boots around for quite some time, and I sort of had in the back of mind that I might release them someday, but I was in no big rush.

I added some fur that matches the Santa hats for the holidays...and a few people were WANT, so I figured I ought to shove it all out finally. Especially since the furry will become holiday inappropriate soon (but then, I've still been walking around with the treat bucket upon occasion, so....)

The plain have an alternate version that's a little shorter, without that section with the top buckle. Both have a little larger, and clunkier, size, for very small boyfeet.

Santagory has been hopping around the world, bringing antlers and coal to the good little boys and girls of SL. (I did see someone randomly somewhere who'd apparently stopped by for a stocking wearing the lights antlers in blue, with the most fabulous faun avatar, wearing a blue dress and a blue glowing nose! When we're talking blue, the blue glowing especially also look dead fabulous with the new silent sparrow group gift, which you SHOULD ALL HAVE if you do not already. Seriously, 'tis fabulous, and making me think about starting to actually take my boy avatar places- though girl Allegory looks quite glam in it as well.)

Alternately she's dreaming of a black or a red Christmas:

(The red santa hat is tinted a sort of muted teal to get the burgundy, the striped scarf is free under the tree, and these are of course the NosferCoat in Noir and Sanguine. Neither pair of pants have hit public release yet..I may be working on getting the striped ones ready soonish though.)

Swing by La Reina to pick them up and get a stocking if you haven't yet! (Also available in Area 51, and eventually onRez, where the furry will stay up after I pull it from shops, I'm sure.)

Ack!

Please forgive, fashionplanet, this was posted to the wrong journal. Not fashion related, but nuts and bolts useful (if interested, moved here, where it belonged in the first place).

NosferCoat and Stockings!

Firstly: There is new freebie distributing funess in the La Reina location! The stocking follows in the tradition of the bucket: you carry it around, and anyone can touch it to be given a little present. It gives out candy, some coal for the naughty boys and girls, and, my favourite, antlers:

(Animal photos taken in Le Zoo, because I've always wanted to put on animal bits and pose with the real ones. The antlers come in a variety of variations, and the antlers themselves also come in brown.)

Choose the colour scheme you would like by touching the one of your choice hanging off the big table. The ones you'll carry about have a stuffed toy and candy sticking out of them, but I'm already scandalously abusing my prim limit for the store as is.

Secondly: I was feeling psychosomatically cold for poor Alle, walking around with bare arms, so my very first coat, and, in fact, very first clothing released other than the logo tank top, is out! The NosferCoat is inspired by the coat worn by Count Orlok in Nosferatu (the 1922 version, of course), and comes in 5 colours, available separately, or in a fatpack:

The lovely Nivaya Barbosa and Subversive Writer were kind enough to do some modelling for me. Subversive is wearing a wonderful shirt from BareRose, Al, on the end in the Sepia is wearing the Sweeney Todd shirt, a group gift from silent sparrow (it's a gorgeous set) and hair by TRUTH, and Niv is far far too stylish for me to keep up with.

The stocking, as well as the presents under the tree that have been known to gather fellows upon occasion, are only at the La Reina location. The coat is also available in Area 51, and, as soon as I do some prim juggling, in Le Cadre'. Additionally, it will soon be up on onRez, for gifting.

8 Random Facts: because everyone is doing it

Melanie tagged me to do this thingie. And I'd better do it now before it falls out of my head.

Here are the rules:
(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
(4) Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

I am skipping steps 3 and 4. Because I barely know 8 people in SL, and...Mel's just about the only one with a blog, I think!

1) I tend to be pathologically shy, except when I'm a) a chatterbox, or b) a snarky bitch. Allegory brings the snarky bitch out in me. I'm also semi terrified of talking to people I don't know, and, well, that explains the "hmmm...do I even know 8 people in SL?"

2) Allegory's favourite colour is green, but mine is purple. We both generally sport hair of our respectives (I haven't had my natural haircolour in a decade or so). We also have different totem animals.

3) I generally don't do these spammy going around things =p. But I'm doing this one for Mel! Don't expect it to happen again!

4) I've been written up in medical journals for a wacky condition (no, it's not actually interesting, nor is it particularly disgusting. It's just sort of odd) I had that plagued me growing up. (It's also indirectly responsible for me being sick for almost 2 months this year.)

5) I used to become obsessed with bizarre things every few years when I was growing up. I've forgotten most of what I knew, but at different times, I knew just about everything you could find out without a degree about ancient Egypt, Greco-Roman mythology, medieval alchemy, dinosaurs, and astronomy (yes, I was a very bookish child). And possibly other things I've forgotten at the moment. I no longer get quite so immersive, and tend to juggle multiple obsessions at a time.

6) I have a reeeeally bad memory. I will just totally forget things constantly, including forgetting what I was in the middle of doing all. the. time. On the other hand, I will remember things people have told me for years afterwards when they've forgotten them entirely.

7) I lose things, and look where I think they are. And look again. And look another couple of times. And then, eventually, they are actually there. No, I don't know how this fits into a worldview wherein it is not that case that God plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players (ie. everybody), to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

8) The quote at the end of the last one should clue you in, I'M A GREAT BIG NERD.

Santa hat

News in the land of La Reina:

New ZOMGPURPLE store with the same footprint as the old. It's sort of ridiculous in certain ways, but I love it so.

New (sculpted) santa hat put out tonight. I haven't done ads for it- instead they are sitting out in the store so you can play with the colour changing (poke bits for the menu- trim: white, grey, black, and red for Sub's inverted Santa; hat: red, green, blue, purple, pink, white, and black). Sit in the chair and it sortofvaguely hovers where it would on your head. One of the ones out is copy/no trans, the other is trans/no copy, for your permissions pleasure. (The real versions will only pay attention to your poking, store models are modded to listen to others...so long as I didn't flub the code, since I can't test it, being the owner!)

Also I've done a little bit of Xmas decorating. Pink sandman, er, snowman, by the door has a very ridonculous pose in it (poke him to hang out with him), the lights around the store can also be changed by more poking, and there's a tree in the middle of the store that will be accumulating presents. So far only the his and hers sets of Helios are out- if you got them in the treasure hunt, swing by for new versions anyway, these are mod enabled as they were always supposed to be.

Razorblade earrings

One may infer things from the fact I put these out on Thanksgiving (even if I didn't finish), but really, I've had them in my inventory for a while and just haven't taken the ads. Because I suck.

But anyway! In shops (La Reina, Area 51, and Le Cadre'), and OnRez.

(Hair is...Double Daisy by Calla, I believe. I keep losing my notes.)

Change

I've decided I do really prefer the dialogs on touch. I was a bit hesitant- they do annoy me when they get too much in the way and you accidentally click on them, but most of what I make currently it pretty small and you really have to intend to click on it. Besides, I wore that Gritty Kitty witch hat for a while before Hallowe'en, and it actually didn't get to me nearly as much as I would have thought.

I'm (SLOWLY!) converting older things over. I haven't redone any of the ads for anything yet! But the monocle and the keys (Flewksbriar and Heortecaeg) should now be the other system everywhere, and there's a note about it in the mouseover text on the boxes in shops.

If you have an old version, simply IM me and let me know you'd like to trade! I don't mind! I _may_ pester everyone in my transaction history when I've gotten everything converted (I haven't touched the Cathedral stuff or Digital Alchemy yet, so it's still going to take me a bit to get there far- and I need to redo all the ads to reflect the change as well, since they don't have the extra metals either [the keys now also come in the two shades of pink too! I'm telling you, Gogo is a bad influence!]). I'm pretty sure I have finally decided on The Way I'm going to do things, so I would be more willing to annoy people- they really don't need to be getting weekly IMs as I change my mind on how to do things.

Yes, I really am that bad.

La Reina Crowns

This is something else I've had around a while (quite a bit longer than the coffin ring) and I've been putting off the colour changing coding...and then the ads. Sometimes I'm all "I know exactly what I want to do with this!" but mostly I drag my feet because I'm just not feeling it, and don't know how to get across everything I want to in the space allowed (these are kind of busy to me...but I dunno, I kind of like them anyway). Anyway. Named after my main store in La Reina! Currently available elsewhere as well, but eventually will only be purchasable in La Reina (and maaaaayyyybe OnRez too, since I'll probably not take it out of the box- crown, earrings). A crown for wearing on your head, and a pair for wearing on your ears. A dialog menu comes up on touch with the colour options- I'll probably change everything over to this system, as it doesn't require remembering what all the options are. Because, um, the crown kinda has a lot.

(Crown credits: Dress is the Halloween Lolly dress in purple from LVS&Co; hair is Wilted Rose Valentina, and the list down the side is a few by Calla (Lichen in the middle I'm pretty sure), and ETD Airy at the bottom, and I can't find where I wrote them all down and my nose is running so I'll figure it out later. The earrings just have hair I don't know whether I'll ever sell, and as usual I'm in my skin that I most likely never will as I doubt it runs to most people's tastes, and I'm fine with that. The pink is all Gogo's fault!)

And you know, I haven't played Portal yet, but I know the cake is a lie, and the only thing you've managed to break so far is my heart. Also, I've been listening to this song over and over because it was only a matter of time before someone made an electro/techno song of Portal, and this one is really good.

Edit: The beautiful Gogo has posted a few pictures to Flickr with a few of the crown variations:

Black Coffin ring

I made it a bit ago, wore it for a couple of days, and then promptly forgot about it.

A simple black coffin ring, with a silver cross inset. The ring uses the normal ring scripts, of course.

In stores (La Reina, Area 51, and Le Cadre') and OnRez.

Dear Reviewers

I don't have a blogger list, for a number of reasons.  I love seeing things blogged!  I just don't do blogger lists, or review copies beyond some events.  I totally do respect that blogging is expensive, even with promotional copies, and I'm sorry, but this is what works for me.

p.s. I do love to chat (though I'm not actually good at it- you'll probably have to carry the conversation!), so do feel free to talk to me anyway!

Blood Rubies

The extra piece to Blood Rubies, the Y Incision necklace. Also dresses up pretty nice, and is only creepy if you work it in that direction. Sized for my skinny little bod, so please IM me if you would like it sized to your shape!

(Hair is Spanish Jasmine by Calla, Dress is Grand Opening Gown by DG Innovations)

In stores (La Reina, Area 51, and Le Cadre') and OnRez.

Furniture by Max Ennui

Before I resurrected Schadenfreude after years of dormancy, Max was Schadenfreude. Ages ago, he set up a little shop with his furniture, and I've been trying to lure him back to selling recently. Finally I convinced him to take up a wall in the shop in La Reina, for his spooktacular coffiny wrought iron.

And I'm totally going to have to rearrange the shop(s) soon, it's getting too cluttered. I may try to put a divider in, although I have to be awfully careful not to mess with the ability of people to be able to move around.

Greetings Fashion Planet!

Greetings fashion planet feed readers. Have you gotten your free treat bucket? You can pick it up from the great big coffin gift box in La Reina! (Yes, I'm still in Pumpkinhead by the talented Rikka Koi of Crimson & Clover. I do love this hair.)

Last night I installed my new floor in La Reina. I'm quite fond of it, and with the lovely windfall of good luck today, I believe she likes it too. I thought she might appreciate the pink beaches.

I have a brand new store at Le Cadre'! I've still got to decorate and such, but then it took me a bit at La Reina as well.

And lastly, new release! Gorgeous dropped by my roof after visiting Versailles, dressed to the nines, and we started talking about the extravagance of, and what it led to, and the lack of either of us having a slit throat tattoo for Halloween...and well, this was born:

The pieces along with it just sort of happened...for some reason, Titus Andronicus came up three times in two days recently, so I had bloody hands on the brain. Of course, you rename the set and don't wear it at Halloween, and it can actually be pretty classy. In stores, and OnRez. It's sized to fit my tiny wrists, so please do contact me if you'd like the bracelets in a better size for you.

Brand new bucket!

Well, not all that much really. But, if you got a bucket before today, swing by and get a new one. Now filled with more stuff! I had wanted to included a rainbow of witch brooms, but vehicle code was making my head hurt. When I finally got it working today, I put a bunch in the bucket (and there are those and more in the pink cauldron outside the store- it's the only place to get the 4 pink ones!), and knocked out the one other (very silly) thing I'd decided to put off till next year, but as long as I was doing the rest, I decided to finish it up too.

The amazingly awesome pumpkinhead hair is a limited edition from Crimson & Clover, by Rikka Koi. I adore it enough to actually have hair on the sides of my head! Also, her shop is insanely adorable.

If you want to see some real comedy, watch me try to fly on the broom. I've never gotten the hang of SL vehicles!

Candyman, Candyman...Candyman!

I've been working on this...for quite some time. It's turned into a rather complex project, as I can. not. leave. well. enough. alone. I did dial it back a lot little, as I was having severe issues with testing (because it reacts differently when I own it than it does to anyone else).

But! I has a bucket.

You can has a bucket too. Visit the store in La Reina and check out the big coffin gift box, and it will gift you with your very own free bucket.

Wear the bucket, and then touch the bucket, and encourage others to touch your bucket. The bucket shall grant people a gift upon touching. This gifts are sundry, but every item given by the bucket is intended to be worn. Of course, there is the candy, of assorted types- lollypops, peppermint twists, liquorice taffies, apples (which may or may not be inhabited by worms), all sorts of sweeties. However, the bucket also has random little costuming goodies.

Candy Corn fangs. Show that vampire you're not afraid! Alternately, if you are one, show you're not afraid of tooth decay, by bedecking your treasured meal tickets with festive sugary bling. (No actual bling included. I don't do bling.)

My very first flexi thingie ever, and one of my first hats. This is entirely for comedic value, as it is silly, ridiculous, simple, and flops all over the bloody place when you walk. I dare you to keep a straight face.

Another early hat, this one curls around to eat your head. I did not guarantee these would all be quality gifts. But they do amuse me!

A simple little lolita crown. At the time I made it I rather liked it, but I've progressed to more intricate things. Also, it is free!

Some shiny black horns for you. I believe it should go without saying that all of the costuming bits are modify (I tend to toss even freebies that are no mod, especially attachments), so you can texture them however you desire.

And more horns! This time in a devilish red stripe.

These are, of course, just a sampling of the bits you'll find in the bucket, because the bucket is full of love.

The bucket also listens to you, and upon /13 tot, /13 trick, /13 treat, or /13 trick or treat, you will hold out the bucket, and say "Trick or Treat!" audibly and in chat. Upon /13 dark the lighted face will extinguish, and /13 light turns it back on again.

(Hair with the witch hats and the black horns is ETD Airy, because my mohawks do not suit the witch hats.)

My Mother's Eyes

You may have noticed a decrease in the tiny population recently. Schadenfreude Enterprises knows nothing about the cause of such troubling matters, but wishes to express their concern.

In completely unrelated matters, new releases for Halloween. I've been wearing these, ahem, glass eyes a lot recently, what with the upcoming holiday and all especially.

"I have my mother's eyes. At home in a jar."

Available in stores (La Reina, Area 51, and Le Cadre') and OnRez.

New Shop!

I've set up a new shop in La Reina- currently both my shop and the sim itself are in the process of being built, but I've got a start of it with things from the Jewelry Exposition.

I'm really excited! And I've started putting pumpkins and jack o'lanterns all over for Halloween.

Since I have a permanent location, I've also started listing on OnRez. Eventually everything in the store plus should be on there, although I've only started boxing things up for it. Aside from it being easier for my to list 5 million variants without having to make the shop space for it, you get things in cute little gift wrapped boxes if you order through OnRez (if you buy at the store you get a folder with the items so you don't have to unpack, so that way is quite a bit more convenient- excepting rings, which will still need to be taken out of the ring box, as they are bundled with instructions as well).

New metals, booth

I've opened up a tiny booth in Ohana Isle. It's very small, at only 10 prims, so obviously, not much is on display. I went to Ohana Isle in the first because I heard about the treasure hunt last month (they do them once a month, and they last a week, freebies hidden all over), and I fell in love with the place. It's got a lot of very strong Disney theming (Haunted Mansion wallpaper, Club 33, great big Mickey sorcerer hat buildings, a shop that specializes in the mouse ears you can get in the Park), and, even more awesome, they do a lot of Halloween theming, I caught them just starting to set up, and it just keeps getting better. So even though they've got a waiting list on anything of any sort of decent size, I wanted a place there!

I'm changing the metals available on the metal changing items- old gold, gunmetal, and iron have been added (old gold is the gold I used to use which is a little antiqued, the new gold is a bit brighter, gunmetal is a darker silver, iron is an alternate black that isn't quite so shiny. Pewter has also changed to be a little less shiny). If you have any pieces purchased before, contact Allegory Malaprop, and I'll set you up with the new metals. I'm waffling on whether I should try to contact everyone and offer them the upgrade...I might still do it at some point, but I don't want to annoy people. Especially since it's stuff most of them probably don't really care about.

Everything in here is still available directly from me, even though there's now even less out there in world. I've got the face the whole OnRez listing prospect at some point, so things don't have to be bought directly from me, but I keep getting distracted by making new shiny things (especially Halloweenish shiny things. I'm currently deep in obsession with a freebie that I have to finish so it can actually be given out before Halloween). I've got such a ferret attention span when it comes to the annoying little details of running a shop (because, see, I don't actually care about that aspect of it, I'm in it for the fun of making random thingies)...honestly, if it weren't for that whole pesky having to pay for space thing, I'd probably just end up giving most things away. I'm totally going to forget to pay my rent, I'm sure. At least 10 prims means less clutter pulling out and sorting my Lost and Found.

The Geoffrey Monocle

I've desperately got to actually get my skin to where I'm happy with it, so I actually make a male version I can stand. This is, er, rather obviously from the eye makeup, not exactly a guy skin (and the only reason the lips aren't covered in lipstick is due to a little photoshop splicing). Ok, I also have a severe weakness for guys in makeup, I admit, but I'm not sure I really need all my ads to feature drag queens, so eventually I'll get around to something.

(Freebie tuxedo from, er, somewhere. Phat Cat? Caledon Steamcity backdrop.)

The Geoffrey Monocle is a somewhat decorative monocle with odd little fiddly accents for those who want something with a touch more character than a more simple one.

Now when you touch the monocle a dialog menu will come up offering you the choice to change the lens or the rim, and then more options as to what colours you can pick for either. This way you don't have to refer back to the instructions contantly, or simply remember all of the options. The rim now changes between gold, old gold, copper, silver, pewter, gunmetal, black, and iron. The lens still changes between the nice common and useful clear, but also features amber, brown, smoke, a lovely bottle green, and the yet more odd solid shiny black (for all of your extreme villain needs!), and pink and baby blue (for those manly enough to pull it off- or girly, as the case may be). You can also still tell the lens to change to a particular shade by the vector value, and it will remind you how when you choose the "Custom" option in the lens menu. /55 <1.0, 0.0, 0.0> will turn the lens red. (The rest of the vector instructions below still hold, but now it's /55 instead of /49 monolens .)

It changes colours on my regular channel 49: monorim addresses the metal rim, changing it between gold, silver, copper, pewter, and black, and monolens addresses the lens, changing the tint. It has the nice common and useful clear, but also features amber, brown, smoke, a lovely bottle green, and the yet more odd solid shiny black (for all of your extreme villain needs!), and pink and baby blue (for those manly enough to pull it off- or girly, as the case may be). You can also tell the lens to change to a particular shade by the vector value- /49 monolens <0.0, 0.0, 0.0> for instance, will tell it to be a semi transparent black, whereas /49 monolens <1.0, 1.0, 1.0> will tell it to be a semi transparent white. To figure out other values, take the colour in the colour picker, and divide each variable by 256, and plug in the values. Of course, it's also mod, so you can simply edit it straightforwardly, but some might find the vectors to be useful for colours that they use often. (Do note that /49 all will not address this item at all, unlike other items.)

Black pearl necklace with cameo

Looking around the Exposition, I found out cameos are very in this year, so apparently this is my contribution to the trend.

(Tuli Asturias had nice things to say about it! I guess that yeah, the majority I saw were chokers.)

Jewelry Exposition Treasure Hunt

To give you an idea of how dastardly the treasure hunt is:

The boxes are all tiny! You have to be right on top of them for them to rez in! They're pretty well hidden, too- if I ever have an Easter egg hunt, Jackal Ennui is who I enlist to hide things!

I've found all of the boxes but one- as have most people, now there's a list going around. I had help finding a couple, and I found one last one with that list (and I had looked both where that one was, and some of the ones that I had help finding, as I sort of expected some of them to be potential hiding places, and they simply didn't rez in when I was looking the first time!), but most of them I found on my own, but still, that one last box either doesn't exist, or is truly evil!

Blogged!

The Jewelry Exposition is ending, so I'll be back to being a gypsy until I actually figure out a place to rent (I hate tier. I'd be willing to put down silly amounts of money on land if I could just never have to worry about it ever again, because I just know I'll forget to pay rent). But! I got blogged! Tamiko Kenzo wrote an article in Japanese (my Japanese is about the level of "your shoe is big" so I can't read it), and it gives me the warm fuzzies.

Freebies: Pirate Hat, Helios

Incentive to join the Schadenfreude Enterprises group: I've released my first work-free freebie (since you have to find Helios, and really I have already been slowly distributing this to people for a while). A sculpted tricorne hat. I'm freebieing it because while it is still not too bad, it isn't perfect. The loss of detail with the JPEG2000 compression irks me horribly, and it was my first sculpty after all, so it was expected it wouldn't be perfect. I'll probably release head scarves for it at some point, but I doubt I'll texture it. However, anyone can request the sculpt map, and they can export it to texture their own (I do ask that you not reup the sculpt map just so you can sell the hat yourself, because that's rather tacky). I rather like my shiny black vinyl pirate hat, but that's because I actually have a shiny black vinyl pirate hat.

I've been searching for treasure hunt items at the Exposition (and is it a pain! While most follow the in plain sight rule, the boxes are tiny!), and discovered that Helios is being distributed no modify. That was not intended, I must have accidentally given her the wrong permissions. Please contact me to get full mod versions of what you've found. (That goes for everything I've released so far, by the way- so if you've got something that's no mod, please let me know so I can fix it!)
