Xiasumi School has opened its doors to the public for a spring school festival.  I'm in Supernatural club with ~silent sparrow~ (we're sharing a classroom) and katat0nik (in the classroom right next door) and a bunch of other awesome people.  Each club got to decorate the floor of its building- Supernatural club is the best club and you should vote for us.  I'm totally unbiased.

For the event, I made a few things.  The sakura mori neo kanzashi are spooky hair flowers with skull centers, a modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese 簪 kanzashi- HUD texture options in a variety of colours for all the bits, in hair clips and hairsticks and clustered hana kanzashi hair decorations with and without danging chains with skulls.  A less spooky version of them with smaller uncarved pearls is also available.

There are also little baby kitsune, who nap in your arms, twitching little paws and tails in their sleep.  Each comes with either one or two tails, the extra tail is where they store their extra magic.

And I made matching kitsune ears and tails for the donation item, all proceeds go to the Save the Children Charity for the Japan Earthquake Tsunami Children fund.  There are plain ears, and ears decorated with the same skull flowers as the neo kanzashi.  There are multiple tail options included- your choice of single tails, two sets of three tails, and a set of nine tails (for the very old foxes who've lived a long time).  They are divided into sections for more flexibility, so you can customize them further if you also use the Edit menu.

Select your base ear and tail textures from the top rows, and then choose the inners and backs of the ears, and the tail tips, from the lower options.  You can also select sections and tint the overlays for even more options.  Open Edit, and Select Face.  Make sure you select the parts with the transparencies, NOT the underfur (unless you want to tint that instead!)

The ears and tails can be found in my classroom, and with the rest of the donation items in the shrine area.  My classroom is in the east wing of the south building.

If you come to my classroom, there is also a free gift, a てるてる坊主 teru teru bozu ("shine shine monk"), the little bald doll hung as a magical talisman to bring sunshine and ward off rain.  He's also got a bit of a gruesome children's rhyme to go with him, befitting his appearance in Supernatural club!

Teru-teru-bozu, teru bozu
Do make tomorrow a sunny day
Like the sky in a dream sometime
If it's sunny I'll give you a golden bell

Teru-teru-bozu, teru bozu
Do make tomorrow a sunny day
If you make my wish come true
We'll drink lots of sweet sake

Teru-teru-bozu, teru bozu
Do make tomorrow a sunny day
but if it's cloudy and I find you crying
Then I shall snip your head off

The Xiasumi School Festival is open until April 21st.

Vote early, vote often, vote Supernatural!
