Wizarding Faire!

newt (wizarding faire), cuffs, and tattoos by ~silentsparrow~, necklaces from lassitude&ennui (snake eye for wizarding faire), hair by Clawtooth (upcoming c88 round, starts the 8th), shirt by Pig, bookshelf by Alouette (last session of the Arcade)

Mischief Managed is having a Wizarding Faire- it opened today at noon, and goes until the 20th.  There are many wizardly goodies to be had from all sorts of people- including a couple of my sim mates!  ~silentsparrow~ has wonderful newts, and lassitude&ennui has fabulous witchy shoes and a selection of necklaces- I'm wearing the snake eyed one there.

From me, you can find three new wands (there will be one last new wand released after the Faire, I like the number 3 better than 4 when it comes to magical things, and also actually more pertinently, I have too much work to do and setting up wands takes quite a chunk of time so I ran out!).  Like the previous three wands, they are texture change with 13 texture options, and two of the three have 2 texture sections so the accents can be a contrasting colour if you choose.  They also come with a few spells!  There is a new spell added to the previous list, you can now conjure newts!  Newts are courtesy of ~silentsparrow~.  The old wands have been updated with mesh versions (the ads for them are currently lying about being sculpt, I need to squeeze in time to fix that, but haven't gotten to it yet!), and if you have an old wand you should have gotten a message and an updating wand sent to you last night.  Wear an updating wand (the one that came with your wand also works!), and you will be sent a new copy of your wand(s), updated for mesh and materials, with the new newt spell written in your spellbook.

The wands themselves are 1 LI each, if you choose to display them, and with the box are 2-3 LI (3 LI for the unlinked version that you can move around according to your wish, 2LI for the linked version that opens and closes on touch).  The post about the previous wands can give you a little more information about the scripted features they all come with.

There is also a new book!  Like the previous collab book with ~silentsparrow~, it has scripted page flipping and unscripted versions, can be held in the left or right hand for reading, and features original artwork (this time by me!).  This one also has some materials on the gilded areas (though not on the flipping pages- materials are not scriptable, so I couldn't switch them out with the proper bits!)

There are also framed prints of each page available in a set, also materials enabled.  1LI each picture, or 1LI each pair linked, 3LI for the set of 5 linked together.

And!  Last but certainly not least!  A jewelry set with ~silentsparrow~, with her original animal art, and my original mesh (do I have to say this?  I guess I should.  I don't use templates, I make all my own mesh- it means I can do what I really want to do, am not limited to using someone else's building blocks, and I have full control over how textures and everything work.  All those things above?  Also all my own original mesh and you won't find them anywhere else- with the exception of the frames, which you might find elsewhere eventually because I do sell full perm mesh frames on the Marketplace, but not this style frame yet- and I'll probably only ever sell basic full perm stuff like that.  Same goes with anything I make unless I make a point of saying a friend did stuff with me for it- and that goes for texturing too, but I do collabs with textures with friends more often!  Like these!).  The jewelry set consists of earrings, a necklace, and a ring, and there's a set with each house animal set in a shield crest.  The metals are texture change with 11 options (golds and silvers and coppers and pewters and irons of varying shades).

All only to be found at the Wizarding Faire right now!

Flux: Taxidermia and Apothecary

Lastly, there are the wearable dead things- jewelry with preserved remains.

(clothing and tattoos by ~silentsparrow~; pose by Imperial Elegance; all else by Schadenfreude)

A Doomed Flock set is divided up into types of flocks, or the entire set- each piece is named after a word for a particular group of birds (a parliament of rooks or owls, a conspiracy of ravens, a skein of geese, a clutch of eggs, a congress of crows, a bazaar of guillemots, a flamboyance of peacocks)- but these birds have met unfortunate ends, with their skulls saved and studded with gems. The magnificent bird skulls were made by Radio Signals, a brilliant artist, in and out of Second Life.

(hair by Clawtooth by Clawtooth; pose by {TERHO}; all else by Schadenfreude)

The Preserved Widow jewelry set features cameos set with real live (dead) widow spiders, preserved and secured attached. Both the aforementioned sets have a selection of texture options, controlled with a HUD, for metal and beads and gemstones and pearls and spiders.

And lastly, the Momento Mori pin, a large decorated safety pin, with a Jerry skull bead dangling down.

After the event, items will be available at the elephant, and on the Marketplace.

Field Guide to Magical Creatures

I made an art book with hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~. It is mesh, so it requires a mesh capable viewer. There are sample books sitting out by the vendors so you can see them in action, if they look like cylinders instead of books, you are not on a viewer that can see mesh.

(sweater by ~silentsparrow~, hair by lamb, the rest by Schadenfreude. And I had a devil of a time taking those pictures, for some reason the newest version of the official viewer doesn't like snapshots and shadows anymore on my computer.)

The book has 6 original artwork of creatures- the creatures can also be found on t-shirts by ~silentsparrow~. The pages of the book can be scrolled through, with and without an animated effect, and there are closed versions as well as open versions of the book, and you can hold it and read it (in either your left or your right hand). There are a bunch of versions in the box, with varying degrees of scriptiness, and that cost different amounts of prims in land impact (because mesh doesn't count how many prims it'll take up on your land by the number of objects it physically is!)- the most is 3, unless you stretch it too large, because with mesh, size matters too- however the example books are still only 3 prims in land impact, and they are not all that small!

The book can be found both at the elephant, and at ~silentsparrow~.

Animal Badges

In the same vein as those ties, hya and I got together and made some badges. She drew the cute animals (I dare you to say badger badge 5 times fast!), and I sculpted the thing to put them on. Texture change with a HUD, fit once and clicky clicky.

(I'd totally be a Ravenclaw, though I've never had bangs and only started cutting my hair as short as that lamb hair when I was a fair bit older. The sweater is from ~silentsparrow~, pose by {TERHO}, skin/eyes/shirt/tie by Schadenfreude)

Out at the elephant, of course.

(p.s. I've caved to peer pressure and am working on wands too.)

Ozimals Summer Carnival

There's a carnival going on right now put on by Ozimals. There are games and rides and prizes and a big top! The games are quite fun, though I so can't guess my weight, at ALL.

And there are some new things out there. Some from me!

(hair by lamb; pose probably by {TERHO}, which is closing its in world store the 5th, so hustle for some awesome poses on sale!)

Cameo jewelry with silhouetted circus acts. The cameos change with a HUD, and all my cameo jewelry with a HUD interlocks now, so you can change any with any of the HUDs (if you have older ears or the Electro-cute set, use your updater!)

(hair by Clawtooth by Clawtooth; necklace you can't really see is the matching Chapiteau locket from ~silentsparrow~)

More cameos- these are a collab with hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~, featuring her Chapiteau cameo art. Simple earrings, but the HUD can change all my other cameo jewelry for making anything into jewelry to match your ~silentsparrow~ Chapiteau finery.

(hair by Clawtooth and Schadenfreude; clothing by ~silentsparrow~ and Schadenfreude; poses by PDA [now closed])

And glam glittery eye star facepaint- you can try your luck with the gacha for a star (they come in singles, left or right eye), or for the extra glam, you can grab the entire pack in copy, instead. Because I want to make you all into members of KISS and/or Jem.

Schadenfreude wants YOU
(I'm totally blaming this silliness above on Amyla. And maybe a bit on Claire. And it's a mix of ~silentsparrow~ and Schadenfreude)

Once the event is over, all items will be located at the elephant.

Kinder Horns, and Scribble has a Spotty Bum!

Now this one is a bit complicated. Because, you see, it's a collab with Scribble, even though the pieces all work awesomely separately as well. Firstly, I shall tell a story.

Once upon a time, Radio Signals, who is, like most (if not all) of the designers in SL who make wonderful things that I love, a fantastic traditional artist as well as someone who creates amazing things in SL, took a day off SL to draw. And made this:

yay deer

And it is beautiful. And, well. Why not make that come to life in SL, since, you know, we can do those things here? That's one of the things that makes SL awesome to me- we have the possibilities to do things here that we couldn't do as easily, if at all, in RL. We've got this awesome weird little artists colony here of people who can bring their creations to life, and you can walk about being that art.

My part is the horns. I've been playing around with horns and antlers for quite some time, never really finishing any of it, but this gave me a good reason to stop cursing at textures and figure out something that I liked finally. There are 6 softly ridged colours (in natural neutrals), and 12 hard solid colours (including wacky colours like blue and purple and red and green), and a demo so you can try them on and check out all the colours instead of me smashing them in the ad there somewhere.

(Spotty Bum in special Allegreen bum on the me in the background, Clawtooth hair which is wonderfully sleek for showing off ears and horns in the foreground, ~silentsparrow~ tattoo and Balderdash bracelet peeking out on the me in the back, my ears/skins/eyes/'hawk- skin and eyes on me in back are yet unreleased.)

You can also blame Radio for the "font" there- she doesn't use a font, she writes on all of her ads (which I love a lot, but I'm still a bit shaky with a tablet, so it takes a lot of rewriting/drawing!)

But! So! Radio's side of the awesome here was the dress (which has lots of great options including shorts and leggings and comes with the cute little blouse, and you can get in all sorts of colours to placate your inner rainbow faun, or anyone else who needs the cutest spotty bum ever), and the skull (which is amazingly only 3 prims and I am so jealous of the amazing texture there I cannot tell you), and a great bundle with the artwork for your wall in SL (I hear that she's looking into prints too, so you can have real live art for your real live walls).

ham-let

Coming soon

There are also exclusives for Stumblebum at Scribble this weekend- a few different colours of the outfit, and a special black skull. BLACK AS MY SOUL.

You can find all these things conveniently together, at Schadenfreude and Scribble locations near you! (If you want to avoid the crowds for the Haiti fundraiser, go to the Scribble in Cupcake, but I don't know if the Stumblebum awesome is there!)
